Solid oak, ash, merbau or beech, without the toxic adhesives found in laminated pine or formaldehyde-impregnated particle board floors, this investment will last for generations. The beech is “compress-dried”, making it one of the hardest floors available. Pre-finished with urethane, the surface is mirror-smooth and beautiful.

Easy to install. Lay your floor quickly and easily without having to remove old flooring: it uses a clip or nail down method and “floats” over concrete, old tile, vinyl or radiant heat.

Grades

Classic: Uniform appearance, with minimal color and graining variation. Some small sound and black knots, along with minor press drying cracks and minor voids are characteristics of this grade.
Harmony: Moderate to significant color variation, along with sound small to medium sized black knots. Heartwood, mineral streaks, press drying cracks and voids are characteristics of this grade.
Variation: Very rustic appearance with unlimited natural color and graining variation. Large knots, knot holes, small knots on plank edges, mineral streaks, press drying cracks to any extent, as well as voids are characteristics of this grade.

Finishes

Urethane: Normally comes pre-finished with urethane, mirror-smooth and beautiful.

Oil: All 9/16” flooring is available with factory oil finish, however, some products may require an 8 week delivery time.

Unfinished: While many customers are happy with the urethane finish, the purest option is unfinished wood, which can be treated with Kunos or another oil. Must be special ordered.

Notes

Danish hardwood is shipped in pieces 6’ long, 5” wide and 9/16” (14mm) thick, in bundles that will cover 20.34 square feet of floor. Bundles weigh 44 pounds.

Installation clips are sold separately at 65/box, which covers 27 sq ft for 3/4" or 40 sq ft for 9/16" & 7/8" .

A restocking fee will be charged for all returned items. Only unopened bundles accepted.
